HAINS / HAINES

Devore, Hains / Haines, Lybarger, Maston

Carol Hains McDonald WMcdon7794@aol.com has the following Family Tree difficulty -

"My brick wall is Jacob Hain(e)s from Bedford County PA. born about 1720.

I am wanting information about Jacob his wife and children. We know very
little about Jacob in fact everything we know I just mentioned. Jacob had one
son John
Hain(e)s who was born in 1758 and died in 1813 in Bedford Co.
John Hain(e)s married Lanah Devore and they had 7 children:
Daniel, John Jr., Henry, George, Leonard, Hannah and Lenor.

John is listed on the 1800, 1810 Census and on the tax lists for Bedford County
in 1785. John's will is in the Will Abstracts in Bedford Co. 1812 -13.
Stories are that John died from complications (from the War of 1812).
There is also an article or letter entitled "French & Indian War Document"
written by John Hains to his father Jacob, "near Lancaster" Bedford, PA 1758.

If anyone has any information to add or to document the above I would
certainly appreciate hearing from you. This is the one area, I cannot break down.

My lineage is from Henry Hains, Sr. who married Hannah Lybarger.
Their son Henry Jr., married Margaret Maston and they had 7 children,
one of which is my grandfather John M. and Caroline Milligan Hains.

Thank you for the courtesy of a reply". - Carol Hains McDonald
