ENSLEY / ENSLOW

Ensley / Enslow, Longstreth

This following was sent from Brian J. Ensley BJE9@aol.com :

" I have also hit a "brick wall" while researching my Ensley / Enslow family of
Bedford County. Tax lists show my 6th Great Grandfather, George
Enslow,
living in Ayr Twp., Cumberland County, PA, as early as 1763. He and his two sons,
Capt. George, Jr. and Christopher were in the Revolutionary War. George was
married to Hannah
Longstreth of Philadelphia / Bucks County, daughter of Major
Martin
Longstreth, also a Revolutionary War Veteran, as were Hannah's brothers,
John, Martin, Jr. and Philip.

Since George's in-laws were from the Bucks County / Philadelphia area, I
believe that George must have been from there, or passed through there from
New Jersey, as many families in the area where he lived had come from. George would
have been born in the early 1730's.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

Thank you,
Brian J. Ensley
