THE ADAM RIDENBAUGH FAMILY

Barndollar, Compher, Creal, Fahnstock, Ridenbaugh

Barbara Means at bjmeans@earthlink.net has sent the following :

My 'brick wall' is ADAM RIDENBAUGH and his family of Bedford County, PA.

Adam
Ridenbaugh died in Bedford Co. PA, on Nov. 27, 1833, leaving his son
Alexander Ridenbaugh to the guardianship of Michael Barndollar, and
William F. Ridenbaugh to the guardianship of William Compher. The wife and mother
of the Ridenbaugh's is not known, having died sometime before August 16, 1838.

Adam
Ridenbaugh is listed as a head of household in the 1810, and 1820
Bedford County, Providence Township, PA census.

Adam's son, William
Fahnstock, who was born in Bedford Co. PA. on Feb. 19, 1821,
moved to St. Joseph, Missouri, where he married Hannah Creal and had
family of six children.

Wm. F. Ridenbaugh died in St. Joseph MO. on Oct. 18, 1874.
Nothing is known about the rest of this family.

Adam
Ridenbaugh owned some land, a log house, and a tanyard in Bloody
Run, later called Everett, in Providence Township, Bedford County, PA, which he
bought from Philip
Campher , son-in -law of Michael Barndollar.

I would be happy to hear of any information or leads.
Thank You

Barbara J.
