The Growden Cemetery is
located on the west side of Growden road (T334), which runs north
and south
along the west side of Lake
Gordon and Koon Lake in Cumberland Valley Twp. It is a beautiful
location,
especially on a bright Spring
day when the dogwoods are in bloom.

a slight rise above the road level and is encircled by a split
rail fence
and identified with a large
rock (in the foreground) inscribed:

(ca.1838- unk), married a Charlot (unk). Issue: unk. This Isaac
is the son of
Joseph and Mary Perdew / Wigfield. Joseph
had a brother, Benjamin Wigfield, who married Rebecca Blair (her second husband).
Rebecca was an older sister to Sarah, wife of John M. Growden
Sr. (below).
