Bean's Cove Methodist Episcopal Church & Cemetery

 
The first Methodist Episcopal Church in Bean's Cove was a log church built about 1816. The present
church was built in about 1881 and stands on the site of the first log school house in Bean's Cove.

Malinda - his wife - Born Oct. 10, 1841 Died Sept. 22, 1911 - aged 69y, 11m, 18d
Who are Elijah's and Malinda's parents?
 
Elijah is the son of Archibald Casteel Perdue (Feb. 27, 1812 - May 6, 1868) and
Priscilla Dicken (Mar. 18, 1813 - July 19, 1891). Archibald was the son of Elijah Perdew
(June 24, 1788 - Sept. 16, 1838) and Rachel Blair (Dec. 23, 1794 - May 13, 1833). He, his wife
and several other children are also buried in the Bean's Cove Cem.
Harriet (Ella) Donahoe was a daughter of Elijah and Malinda Perdue.
Malinda was the daughter of Jonathan J. Wilson (Nov. 3, 1820 - Dec. 30, 1907) and
Harriet
Lashley (unk - Feb. 17, 1851).
